Amanda Seyfried in final negotiations for Cosette in Tom Hooper’s “Les Miserables”

Amanda will be singing on the big screen again!

I’ve confirmed that Amanda Seyfried is in final negotiations to play Cosette in Les Miserables, joining Hugh Jackman (Jean Valjean), Russell Crowe (Inspector Javert), Anne Hathaway (Fantine) and Eddie Redmayne (Marius) in the Tom Hooper-directed musical for Universal Pictures and Working Title Films. William Nicholson, Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg wrote the script and Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are producing with Cameron Mackintosh and Debra Hayward. The film will be released December 7, 2012. Innovative Artists-repped Seyfried’s last musical for Universal was Mamma Mia!

Amanda Seyfried to play Linda Lovelace

“In Time” star Amanda Seyfried is in talks to play adult film star Linda Lovelace in Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s drama “Lovelace.”
Peter Sarsgaard, who was last seen playing the villain in “Green Lantern,” is in early talks to play her pornographer husband Chuck Traynor.

W. Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin wrote the script, which is based on Eric Danville’s book “The Complete Linda Lovelace.”

Avi Lerner, Heidi Jo Markel and Untitled’s Laura Rister will produce.

Lovelace is the infamous star of the 1972 porn flick “Deep Throat,” which is one of the highest-grossing independent films of all-time. She was just a Florida schoolgirl named Linda Boreman when she met Traynor, a would-be filmmaker transformed her into a world-famous sex star. After years of being victimized, Lovelace quit the business and divorced Traynor, who she accused of taking advantage of her naivete and coercing her into porn and prostitution.

Epstein and Friedman’s “Howl” star James Franco and Kate Hudson were previously attached to star before the latter thesp became pregnant. A rival film from writer-director Matthew Wilder based on Lovelace’s autobiography “Ordeal” remains in development with Malin Akerman attached to star.

“Lovelace” is expected to start production in January

Seyfried, who next stars in Heitor Dhalia’s thriller “Gone,” recently wrapped Justin Zackham’s comedy “The Wedding.” She’s repped by Innovative Artists, while CAA and Authentic Talent and Literary Management rep Sarsgaard.
