Amanda Seyfried’s revealed the biggest peril of being a Hollywood film star – the screen kiss.

“It’s not fun when you’re with somebody,” the 24-year-old said.

The actress is dating her Mamma Mia co-star Dominic Cooper and while filming her new movie Letters to Juliet kept him up-to-date on her characters love-life.

She said: “If either of us find out that we’ve been kissing our significant screen other and we find out a couple of days later, that it happened like a couple of days before, we get mad! Because if it’s happening you tell the person.”

This summer Amanda Seyfried will begin work on “Red Riding Hood,” helmed by “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke. Seyfried admits that when fans come out to theaters on April 22, 2011, they will definitely get a little creeped out by the film’s interpretation of the iconic fairytale bad guy, the Big Bad Wolf.

“The wolf is the enemy and it’s a very, very dangerous enemy and nobody knows who the wolf is. So it’s a hunt and it’s really cool,” Seyfried told MTV News at the junket for “Letters For Juliet,” adding that she has an actor in mind to play the pivotal role.

“I’m not going to say [who it is] because I don’t want to jinx it. But he happens to be a really great actor. There’s so many great actors. I have no idea,” she teased. “I actually haven’t talked to Catherine Hardwicke, the director, in a couple weeks, so I gotta get back to that.”

While she remained tight-lipped about who she’d like to see in the wolf role, Seyfried did name some of the cast as it is currently shaping up. “[As for the] finalized [casting of all the characters], I’m not sure, but I definitely know it’s seeming right now it’s going to be Gary Oldman, Julie Christie. It’s definitely Max Irons to play my fiancé and Shiloh Fernandez to play my lover,” she said.

Ultimately, Seyfried couldn’t resist the opportunity to drop a small hint. “[Catherine] knows [who I want for the wolf]… she knows. [I don’t want to say] ’cause what if it isn’t and then the person that does play the wolf is like, ‘Oh you wanted him.’ [His initials are] VC. You’re not gonna figure it out.”

We have another pretty shoot heading our way in the new issue of Self Magazine! Check out the behind the scenes video — we can’t wait to see the spread!

We’ve laughed with Amanda Seyfried in Mean Girls, we sang with her as she danced through Mamma Mia, we cried with her in Dear John (her first headlining role), and we had a blast shooting her for our June cover!

When we shot the actress for our June cover, we thought a grassy Malibu location would be the perfect spot to bring out Seyfried’s girl-next-door approachability. The uber-friendly star–who arrived wearing a striped, black and white Diesel tank, a cardigan, leggings and Uggs–introducing herself to everyone on set, and was easily comfortable and chatty with everyone around her all day.

SELF’s creative director called Seyfried a “young Brigitte Bardot” when the actress playfully posed in the sun–her sexy summer shots evoked the ’50s while capturing Seyfried’s low-key vibe (No A-list attitude here; she even brought her own lunch!). All went well her until the wind caused us to move inside. Yep, we sodded the entire living room of a Malibu mansion!
